What Started With The Outdoors Became The Antler Store.
I’m Kris Bodine. The outdoors has shaped nearly every chapter of my life. I never expected one of those chapters to involve buying and selling antlers — much less building a business around them.
The Outdoors Made Me.
I grew up hunting, fishing and spending as much time outdoors as possible. My dad gave me that love for the outdoors, and it eventually shaped both my career and the business I would build years later.
I went on to become a Fisheries Research Biologist, building a career studying fish and working outdoors.
When I had kids of my own, I wanted a piece of land where I could give them some of the same experiences I had growing up. Buying hunting property on a scientist’s salary wasn’t easy.
I wasn’t trying to build a company. I was trying to buy a piece of hunting ground for my family.
Somewhere Along The Way, It Became A Business.
What started as something I worked on nights and weekends slowly became impossible to ignore.
The more antlers I bought, sorted and sold, the more I learned — not just about antlers, but about what customers were actually looking for and what was missing in the market.
Eventually, the side business wasn’t really a side business anymore.
Built The Hard Way. One Antler At A Time.
There wasn't a shortcut. The business grew one purchase, one pallet and one customer at a time.
I spent years buying antlers, hauling them, sorting them, grading them and learning what customers actually wanted.
This business means a great deal to our family, and I never take an order for granted.
